Bella Sofia Lodge

Achieving great fishing experiences in Bella Sofia lodge is our motivation and goal.

We are committed to environmentally friendly sustainability, using photovoltaic technology to reduce fossil fuel use and will be the first lodge in South America to use a wood-pellet furnace as a heating system for guest and staff houses. Vegetables are  grown in our greenhouse and lamb will be provided from the property. We value local and organic produce.

THE LODGE

Our lodge is located 98 km from Rio Gallegos Airport and our guests will stay in the main house or estancia The town of Rio Gallegos is one hour away along paved roads. Bella Sofia Lodge has 65km of the Rio Gallegos, and more than 18 km of the Rio Gallegos Chico.

The Lodge has four single occupancy bedrooms and one large double occupancy bedroom, all with en-suite bathrooms to provide comfort and a homely experience.
The living room has a fireplace and bookshelves with novels and books on local history and our dining room with a fireplace seats ten guests.

The adjacent sunroom with its views over the garden, accommodates the piano-bar where a draught beer and drinks will be served after a great fishing experience.

There is a comfortable wading room where a heating system will dry our gear for the next fishing session.

Providing our guests with fresh and delicious meals is a priority.

Red meats such as steak, lamb and venison are served for lunch and lighter meals such as rabbit, chicken, fish or seafood are served for supper.

Evening meals include starters such as warming soup or a fresh salad from our green house.

For breakfast we have homemade breads and local marmalades, freshly squeezed orange juice, along with an array of egg options including eggs benedict, scrambled or fried eggs, omelettes and avocado toast.

A careful selection of wine from different parts of Argentina will complete the gourmet experience.
