BROWN TROUT FISHING CONDITIONS
1. A maximum of four (4) permit holders may fish on any day of the week, excluding Sunday, during the period from 10am to sunset. The statutory close season for different species must be observed.
2. Fishing will be restricted to on or near the bank. No boats or chest waders are permitted.
3. Brown trout fishing is restricted to fly only with a maximum hook size 10.
4. All flies must be recognised trout patterns and must be tied on single hooks.
5. Any trout under 9 inches must be returned alive to the river.
6. No more than 2 trout may be retained on any day.
7. Foot access is permitted along the path.
8. Permit holders must fish steadily through any stretch of water on a cast and three step basis.
9. When fishing, the rod must be kept in your hand.
10. Permit holders must act in a responsible manner whilst fishing. No litter must be left either on the banks or in the river.
11. Fires are not permitted and no dogs are allowed on the river bank.
12. Trout anglers must give way to salmon anglers.
13. Permit holders must inform immediately a bailiff of the Tay District Salmon Fishery Board or a warden appointed under the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries (Consolidation) (Scotland) Act 2003 respectively if the permit holder suspects any person is contravening the relevant Fisheries Acts.
14. The permit is not transferable. and the booking confirmation must be carried at all times when fishing.
15. The Proprietors reserve the right to refuse sale of a permit to anyone and withdraw any permit sold and issued.
